Resizing imported images with mouse

Maybe I overlook something obvious but I can’t find a way to resize imported images with mouse and cursor. I want to arrange three JPGs from top to bottom to get one resulting JPG. I was able to move the images with the arrow tool, but can’t find a way to adjust the size of these images by simply picking an edge with mouse and cursor and resize it. How can I do this? (Acorn 7.0.3)

After searching through many menu options I found the way to do it: “Only” three clicks on Layer ▸ Rotate and Transform ▸ Scale and Rotate, then it is possible to resize the image by entering numbers or using the mouse. I think this could be implemented more easily with the arrow tool by making the outline of the object active and moving it with the mouse.

Oops, problem now completely solved: Just found this post: Resize a jpeg image layer and the option to double-click on the object to get the size and rotate handles. So my suggestion has already been implemented!
