Zigzag, jagged edge, torn paper, "cut out middle of image" effect?

Happy 4th :fireworks:

I’m wondering if there is any method (either builtin effect or via several manual steps) of cutting out a section of an image, leaving a ragged/jagged edge. Sometimes called a scissor effect, or zigzag cut. This is often used for screenshots to cut out unnecessary portions of an image to save vertical space while still showing the important elements from the top and bottom.

There isn’t a built in way to do this with the scissor effect.

You can hold down the option key and use the Image ▸ Trim out Selection menu item when you have a selection made that spans the canvas, but it has no way to add the scissor.

That’s a good idea though, I’ll consider it for a future release.
