Too easy to select the layer name for editing

So I am more than willing to recognise that this is probably just a result of a bad muscle memory I have from too many years of Photoshop.

When I go to select a layer I sometimes select it twice inadvertently and it selects the layer name and makes it editable. Once it is editable it means that if I select another layer or layer group that name then becomes editable and the only way to stop this from happening is to hit return to ‘save the edit’ or click into the document window.

Would it be possible to add a preference to make the layer names not editable via a click?

I’ll consider the pref, but it’s honestly unlikely since it’s just standard Mac behavior.

Another way to get out of the editing mode is to press the ESC key, but pressing return does the same thing as you’ve noted.
