Selecting Shapes in SVG

Howdy, this is probably a newbie problem, but I can’t figure out how to select a distinct shape within an SVG file. I need to select a “mirror” in this image and delete it. I’m creating an animated gif.

I’m guessing it’s that way because the SVG file constructed everything as a single path.

Can you send the SVG file to support@flyingmeat.com so I can take a look at it and make sure it gets fixed for this case?
