Request: utility nodes & canvas zoom

Hello!

I’m using Retrobatch Pro 2 for some multi-format workflows, and it’s excellent. Some of my workflows are quite complex and I’m coming up against some hurdles that could be considered for a future release.

Firstly, utility nodes - essentially meta nodes that don’t affect the image(s), but do affect the workflows. Off the top of my head, a splitter node (1 or more connectors going in & out) with an on/off toggle would be great…I can route chunks or sections of my workflow around the canvas and essentially switch them on or off without going into every single component node or removing a connector.

In a related vein – and it’s possible I’m missing something here – allowing the canvas to be zoomed in & out. I’m using a 4K 32” screen and it can get pretty full…a zoom out to make full use of the canvas would be excellent, and a zoom in for nitpicking would be equally useful.

That’s it. Thank you for reading.

Those are some good ideas - zooming in and out has been on the list since the beginning (as have patches, or collections of nodes inside a single node).

I like the idea of a switcher node too. I’ll see what I can do in the future.

These suggestions sound great. I’d love to be able to open a workflow, and toggle a path of a workflow on and off. Even better if doing so didn’t actually “edit” the workflow, and prompt me to save changes when closing the workflow document.

Maybe the switcher node could have one input and many outputs, by default all outputs are on, but clicking on the switcher node would let you toggle each output on/off with a push-button?
