Make a Selection from a Shape Layer..?

I’ve drawn a path with the Pen tool that I want to convert to a selection (‘Marching Ants’). I’ve tried Select > Make Selection from Layer, but that doesn’t seem to produce a Marquee selection… Any ideas…?

Make sure the path is filled in with a color (white will do the trick). Otherwise the command won’t know what areas need to be selected.

If that’s not it, let me know!

Thanks, Gus – that did the trick!!! I had set the fill to be transparent, because that’s how it was in PhotoShop…
