The JPEG XL standard has support for lossless recompression of existing JPEG images to lower file sizes without any loss of quality. Is this something that Retrobatch supports or is going to?
The encoder that Retrobatch uses (cjxl) treats the quality slider at 100% as “mathematically lossless”. However, RB will first write out the image as a PNG file before conversion, so there’s no direct JPEG to JPEGXL recompression.
