How to move a selection

I’m trying to create a circular selection so I can edit the colours of a wheel on a car. When I click and drag, the selection circle does not draw where I want it, in fact it’s impossible to guess where the circle will appear as the boundaries move as I drag the mouse.

So once I’ve created the circular selection, I want to move it to align it with the part of the photo I want to edit.

How do I do this with Acorn 7.2?

There’s a couple of ways to do this.

The first is to make sure you have the selection tool selected, and press on the arrow keys to move it in the direction you’d like the selection to go.
The second is to click inside the selection (while you have a selection tool enabled), and click + drag to move it.
And finally, while you’re making the selection you can reposition it while holding down the spacebar.
