How do I draw an arbitrary polygon?

Ok another of my “I’m sure this must be easy” questions…

I want to draw an arbitrary polygon, hopefully by clicking point by point and then circling back to close it - but I can’t figure out how.

The instructions say to use the Star tool to make arbitrary polygons& I can vaguely imagine how that might be done (by pulling and stretching?), but that doesn’t seem to work either.

What am I missing?

You can use the star tool, and then convert it to a bezier shape, and then delete ever other anchor (probably the inside one). Making a dedicated tool for this is on the todo list, but using the start tool is the easiest for now.
