How do I create block shadows?

How do I create this type of block shadow? I used to do it in Photoshop Elements by creating lots of layers in a diagonal by pressing Alt+Right and Down keys (I think) to create the layers in a diagonal but having recently switched to Acorn 8 I have no idea.

Is this text from a shape layer?

If that’s the case you can use the “Duplicate” shape processor (via the Shape ▸ Process menu), and then have the offset 1 x 1. You’ll need to make a single copy of the text as well if you want the background to be a different color.

Here’s a sample: Preview.acorn (56 KB)

Perfect. Thanks! Really appreciate the help.

No problem. I forgot to mention there’s another way in cases where you aren’t dealing with shapes, and that’s with stacked drop shadows:
PreviewDropShadow.acorn (56 KB)

You get the same effect, it’s just much slower to render.

Thanks Gus. I prefer your second method because it allows me to continuously write in the text box and it applies the drop shadows to all my text in real time, even if I change size, font, etc.
