Howdy. I need to share some screenshots that contain sensitive information (text) in them; what is a good filter (not reversible) that can blur text? Thanks!
I know there has been research put out there showing how to “unblur” a photo, though with different degrees of success. So any blur is going to have problems. If you want to be 100% certain that it can’t be reversed, then you shouldn’t use any filters like blurs or pixellating. Instead, you should select the area and fill it in with a solid color (using the Edit ▸ Fill… menu item).

OK! That makes sense. I did wind up using the Hexagonal Pixelate filter. I think I was subconsciously asking "what filter is secure and still looks cool.
