Hi Gus and Retrobatch community,
First of all, thank you for creating such a thoughtfully designed and powerful tool — Retrobatch has become an essential part of my daily image processing workflow.
I’m reaching out with a feature request regarding the “Rules” node. Right now, it seems that filtering in this node is limited to a few basic image attributes (like DPI, color model, file type, etc.). In my workflow, I often rely heavily on IPTC metadata, especially the Byline (Author) field, to help categorize and control the flow of assets.
For example, I frequently need to filter out images with an IPTC Byline like “Screen Grab” — these are typically screenshots or dummy assets that shouldn’t be watermarked or batch processed further.
It would be amazing if the Rules node could support conditions based on:
• IPTC: Byline, Copyright, Caption
• EXIF: Camera Make/Model, ISO, Exposure Time
• XMP or even custom fields
This would make Retrobatch even more powerful for automated workflows, especially for content creators, photographers, and editors working with large volumes of metadata-tagged images.
Please consider this request for a future version — and if there’s a beta I could help test, I’d be more than happy to participate!
Thanks again for your great work.
