Clipboard content renaming token

Hi, I’m new to Retrobatch. I was made aware of it because the new version of Cascable which is supposed to have some form of integration soon with it.

I actually have two questions, but the first was about auto-running a workflow. From the documentation, it seems to be possible using AppleScript, so I’m going to experiment with that.

My main question is about being able to rename files when writing. Is it possible to use the Mac clipboard content in the renaming process? I’ve checked the available tokens and this option doesn’t seem to be in the app. So my guess is that some sort of AppleScript or Automator function could be used, maybe even on import to the original folder?

This is a really good idea, and pretty easy to implement so I’ve done that, and you can grab a preview of Retrobatch 2.2.1 from here: https://flyingmeat.com/download/latest/#retrobatch

From the release notes:

  • The Write Node and Text Watermark nodes now have a “Clipboard” text token (located under the “Other” submenu in the Write node).

Woah, I asked for this because with that, it now can be used in combination with Headshot Tools. I will download that version and try it.
