Two things I would like
When I take a screenshot — I just want the one image, not layers of everything open on my computer
2: Instead of new files opening in tabs, I would like it to be on hit’s own

Both options are available in Acorn’s General Preferences:
a) Uncheck the option "Create layers for windows when taking screenshots.
b) Choose “Never” for the Prefer tabs: option.
